Ferruccio Lamborghini was a tractor manufacturer who built his first cars as a
hobby. In 1961, seeing the demand for exclusive sports cars, Lamborghini
founded his own company and set up a car factory in Bologna, Italy. Although
several cars have emerged from Lamborghini since the Countach—this
futuristic-looking sports car with a top speed of 190 mph remains the
company's most well-known product. Audi AG owns 100 percent of Lamborghini.
