Introduced to
the U.S. market in 1986, automobiles from this Yugoslavian manufacturer were
marketed as low-cost, no-frills transportation. At one time, the Yugo was the
lowest-priced car in America. Four model lines were initially offered in the
U.S., but the model line was short lived. Yugo left North America following
the 1991 model year.
