The Ford Motor
Company was incorporated in 1903 with ten people and $28,000. The company
created the Model T, possibly the most famous automobile of all time. Ford
produced its one-millionth vehicle in 1915, and introduced the first Ford
truck two years later. Today, in addition to producing the Ford, Lincoln,
Mercury, Mazda and Premier Automotive Group brands (Aston Martin, Jaguar,
Rover and Volvo), the company retains an interest in financing, parts and
service, and car rental.
