This Japanese
automaker has been building automobiles since 1954. Distributed primarily
overseas, Daihatsu vehicles were briefly sold in the U.S. from 1988 through
1992, when two model lines were offered. Daihatsu continues to build a full
line of passenger cars, sport utilities, and light trucks for worldwide sales,
but these model lines are not imported to the U.S.
